Greg Proops – August 9th/10th

Comedian, actor and improv superstar GREG PROOPS will be performing in Oregon, first in Salem at the Historic Elsinore Theater on Thursday August 9th and in Eugene Oregon on Friday August 10th at the McDonald Theater.

Comedian Greg Proops is probably best known for his work on the show (or shows, in his case) Whose Line Is It Anyway? Proops was one of the few American performers that appeared on the original UK version, and then of course gained stardom stardom with the US version.

Greg Proops is also a well known stand-up comic and his shows blend performance and stand-up in a kind of perfect comedic balance. In an article entitled “Always Smart, Never Boring”, Alexei Bochenek, writes:

“Comedian and one-man-talk-show host/guest Greg Proops is the heady, spirit-sipping philosopher friend you always wished you had, but never had the time or intellect to sustain. At his live shows,…he lets you live out that fantasy as he doles out large doses of his personal thought-collection directly into your ear-holes, with nary a shred of filter between you, save for a few meters of hot, smoky air.”

Professor Proops has a hit Podcast called The Smartest Man in the World. In one year he has recorded it live in Australia, New Zealand, Montreal, Edinburgh, San Francisco, Austin, London, aboard a ship in the Caribbean and somehow, Cleveland.

Tickets are on sale now through or the the Elsinore Theatre website.
